This title is currently out of print in the U.S.

A failed sucide attempt leaves Blake stranded in quiet Shepperton, following the spectacular crash of his Cessna aircraft in the river Thames. Nursed back to health by the local doctor, all of Blake's attempts to leave the town are thwarted by strange events of space/time. Guided by a series of fantastical visions and transformations, Blake recreates the town in his own image.

"When Blake crashes his small aircraft int the Thames, he is hailed by the town of Shepperton as prophet, menace, messiah of nature and life-force priest. As he discovers supernatural powers in himself, proper Shepperton is transformed into a garden of pagen delights. Tropical flowers spontaneously appear along with strange, wild animals. And ina final act of transcendence, Blake teaches the citizens of Shepperton to fly."
